Wow life has been busy lately I guess haven't had time to say anything on here for a few days and if you know me it is very unusual for me to be at a loss for words! LOL

The rain has finally stopped for the most part and the humming birds have arrived. Yesterday I had a flock of hummers in my front yard, so cool never seen that many at one time before! I put a shepherds hook up to hang my feeder on and almost took out my picture window! (lol don't know how I would have explained the stupidity of that to my husband)

Made a major score of yarn for my stitch group from a friend who is moving, she wanted it to be used to benefit children/charity so I will give it to the ladies in my group who are great at making blankets for children who are going through difficult times.

My husband left on another trip this morning, almost didn't make it we slept in and got up at 5am we are an hour from the airport and he had to be there for 6:20 so a very quick shower and shave while I finished packing his bags and we were off. Only problem was we discovered he didn't have his debit card so mine is on a trip without me! Hope I can live without it for a few days.

Life is fleeting!

Seems to me that 2011 should be called the year of the tears!

Scott's passing has been the third this year for my family. How can a day that was full of laughter and family have turned so horribly wrong. Our family took another blow to our still bruised hearts when the news of Scott's passing was learned. Scott you left a hole in our hearts that will take a long time to heal but your smile will always be remembered!

With so much death and heart ache this year I have come to realize that life is fleeting and gone from us too fast. I plan on living more of my life this year and not sit back and watch it pass me by.

Good bye Scott you will be missed!

no place like home!

Well the hubby got home around 1:30 I am so glad he is home but the interrupted sleep had me yawning all day! So glad he is home, I know I will sleep better tonight just because he is here! It's another rainy, drizzly day seems like it has been overcast forever. Oh well it will just make us appreciate the sunshine all the more when it finally comes out!

Wow what a busy weekend! My husband has been away since Thursday morning and life is very different without him here the house is way to quiet.

Saturday morning went to the Market and saw lots of new and old faces sold a few barefoot sandals and got 5 different pieces of jewellery to fix for people.

Sunday I went to my father's and took my 2 dogs and my son's dog, there ended up being 8 dogs there and everyone one of them got along well together and had a great time swimming and playing fetch. After a delicious feast of bbq burgers and the family's favorite dishes of cheesy potatoes and killer bread all the doggies returned to their homes and promptly fell asleep! So nice!

Unfortunately not all turned out well as we got news later on that night that we lost another family member. It has been a rough year for us, my father passed in January, right after which I found out that two of my aunts discovered that they had cancer, then I had another aunt who passed away, an uncle sent to the hospital with a racing heart that they are having trouble regulating, another aunt who I just found out has cancer and the last was to lose the young family member. Life is not a guarentee you never know how much time you have. I am trying to  live more of my life now, not procrastinating those things I want to do because there may not be a tomorrow!

So today I went to watch my first football game I have no idea what I was watching but since the young man playing asked me to come watch I was there and plan to watch even more of his games. I took Captain with me and stopped at the dog park before the game for a few minutes so he could do his business then off to the game. Captain was game to try just about anything today including climbing up on the metal bleachers to have a nap. After the game I spent the hour driving home to almost immediately turn around to head back into town to drop off a vehicle for my husband so he can get home tonight! (yeah) I even managed to convince my son to go to the dog park with me and all three dogs! Lets just say I know we are going to have another peaceful night the pups are pooped!

I love to craft and that is how I got to this blogging this morning I followed a link to a crochet pattern and really liked what I saw and loved the feed back that the poster received. So here I am trying to figure out how I can contribute to this world of blogging!

The latest craft I have been doing is jewelery making and I attend a farmer's market every Saturday to show my wares. The funny thing about me making jewelery is that I seldom wear it. A friend is to blame for this addiction, she wanted to go to a jewellery making session and asked me to go with her so I did. She is no longer making jewellery but always wears it (lol) and I am still addicted thanks friend!

The other craft that I probably waste most of my time doing is Ukrainian Eggs although I am not Ukrainian this is one of my favourite crafts. Again this is an addiction from another friend. I have made enough of these eggs now that anytime anyone gets access to an unusual egg they will bring it to me. I have a collection of eggs from huge Emus to tiny quail. I have made chicken, banty, goose, duck, and pheasant, I haven't yet done any of the quail eggs that were given to me yet but I am looking forward to it!

Well perhaps I have rambled enough for today!

Happy crafting to all!

My Dogs aka the grandchildren!

Just got back from taking my dogs plus one of the grand dogs for a swim in the brook! Seems a bit chilly to me but they love it and are starting to understand the words "Who wants to go for a swim?" lol

The white dog is the Momma, her name is Ciarra and the brown beast is her son Captain.

I have three grand dogs (those of my actual children) Rosco is Ciarra's beau and Captain and Hanks daddy. Duke belongs to my son he is special because he is the only one who is not a Lab. Rosco, Hank and Captain are my chocolates and Ciarra is a yellow! Hank is a (groan) Llewellyn Setter he is the youngest and most hyper of all the dogs. I swear he has springs for legs!

Ciarra and Hank are the only water dogs I know that don't like water! LOL Captain can't get enough of it, he has even started diving for rocks! He has a sister who is a full fledge diver will totally submerge to go after a rock, so far Captain only sticks his head under! Funny to watch.
Has anyone else had problems with their dogs having allergies? Hank takes after his momma and has allergies, they both will lick themselves until all the hair has been removed from their hind legs! I have tried steroids, benydryl etc but nothing seems to really work. Ciarra I believe is allergic to grass, and Hank to bugs so noway to really get away from it!
